Can We Observe the Ordinances Outside All Sects?

The New Testament clearly shows that Christ enacted certain ordinances; namely baptism (or in plain English, immersion), the washing of the saints’ feet, and the Lord’s supper. But we need join no sect to observe them. They do not belong to any sect on earth, but they are placed in the body of Christ for the exclusive observance of its members. Sectarians who do not discern the body of Christ are not even qualified for their observance (1 Corinthians 11:27-29).
