Listening to the Holy Spirit

One day I was reading a book about an Indian girl that had a horse. As I was reading I started wanting a horse and coveting the girl’s life. I felt that God was telling me to put the book down and go outside to play with my own pets. So I put down the book and went outside. I had a wonderful time enjoying my own pets and I also had a feeling that I was obeying and serving God in my heart.
