Love "endureth all things." What?... Does God really have grace for me to love my little sister who cut two big holes in a cross-stitch that took two years to complete?!... If He loved [the Jews who crucified Him], can not I find grace in my heart to love her?

We may say that each one is actually God's purchased possession, although still held by the enemy. We must through the prayer of faith, claim and take for God, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, that which is rightfully His.

Come, my brothers and sisters! Shall we not go to the Blessed Master and ask Him anew to enroll our names too in that school which He always keeps open for those who long to continue their studies in the Divine art of prayer and intercession?

Elijah would not... look at surroundings and circumstances. To look would have meant discouragement; to look would have defeated God's purpose... to look would have meant the loss of all. So he covered up his "lookers," and just would not look.

Those who have been praying for years and have the closest intimacy with God have a desire to know still more about prayer. How little we yet know of God! It is true that He has taught us many glorious things of Himself... but there is much more to learn.

The first thing to be concerned about is not how much I might serve the Lord, or how I might glorify the Lord; but how I might get my soul into a happy state, and how my inner man might be nourished.

Her quest was not yet over. For we now see four great barriers her faith had yet to surmount; namely, divine silence, human coldness, class, and humiliation. If we look at these in detail, we find that they illustrate the vital issues in many lives today.

To rush forward in our thinking, speaking, and doing, demonstrates a lack of faith in God, and how little we perceive His presence and dominion over all things. It is true in a thousand different things that "he that believeth shall not make haste."

The wonder is... that we can ever get up from our knees if we truly realize our own need.... All these needs can be met by the riches of God in Christ Jesus.... But to share His riches we must pray, "for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him."

If we only knew God and His love, how we would look upon every person we see as one... for whom [He] longs. We would begin to wonder at the mystery of grace that has taken the Church... as a partner in the great work of making that love known.

" 'All things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.' " She looked up at the pastor earnestly, and inquired: "Is that so? Does God say that?" ... She immediately began praying: "Lord, send my father here; Lord, send my father to the chapel."

"Candy?" Spiteful looked surprised. He pulled the silver case out of his pocket and turned it over in his dirty hands. "Open it like this, see?" Precious said, unsnapping the case. The peppermint stick rolled out.... "It's for you. I hope you like it," Precious said quietly.

Imagine a small child falling into a pit and calling for help. Wouldn't his father hurry to get him out? If the pit was very deep, the child would seem very far away, but wouldn't the father be even more eager to rescue him? That is how God looks at sin and forgiveness.

"I thought we prayed that my throat wouldn't hurt?!" Mama... explained that sometimes we have to pray that God will move the devil out of the way so we can enjoy God answering our prayers. Judith and Mama prayed that way.... There was no more crying that night.

We can easily jump to conclusions when we know only a few things about a subject. What if your Mom isn't in the kitchen. Does that mean she went shopping? No. ...facts might help you come to the right conclusion, but even then you could be wrong.

To walk in love—to speak, to act, to purpose, with the love of God pervading our every movement—is the best and sublimest form of existence. To do this there must be a thorough abandonment of self-will, self-opinion, and self-desire.
