Lean Upon the Breast of Jesus

Lean upon the breast of Jesus,
Prayers unanswered, storms surround;
Yet, however great the trial,
His grace doth much more abound.
For thy good and for His glory,
He controls the tempest’s shock;
Lean upon the breast of Jesus,
Find in Him thy solid rock.

Leave It There

When your enemies assail and your heart begins to fail,
Don’t forget that God in Heaven answers prayer;
He will make a way for you and will lead you safely through—
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

Let My Faith Take Hold on Thee

Till the storms of life are over,
This my daily prayer shall be:
Lord, uphold me with Thy Spirit,
Let my faith abide in Thee.

Let the Sunshine In

Does your faith grow fainter in the cause you love?
Are your prayers unanswered by your God above?
Clear the darkened windows, open wide the door,
Let a little sunshine in.

Let Us Be One

Refrain:

Let us be one, oh, let us be one,
So that the prayer of Christ we fulfill;
Let us be one, yes, ever be one,
Thus shall we do God’s holy will.

Let Us Be United

Hear Jesus praying for His people:
“Sanctify them that they may be one”;
Oh, let His prayer in us be answered,
And all His will in our hearts be done.

Little Is Much When God Is in It

Are you laid aside from service,
Body worn from toil and care?
You can still be in the battle,
In the sacred place of prayer.

May the Christ-Life Shine in Me

In this world of sin and care,
This shall ever be my prayer:
“Savior, whersoe’er I be,
May the Christ-life shine in me.”

More Like the Master

More like the Master is my daily prayer;
More strength to carry crosses I must bear;
More earnest effort to bring His kingdom in;
More of His Spirit, the wanderer to win.

More Love to Thee

More love to Thee, O Christ, more love to Thee!
Hear Thou the prayer I make on bended knee;
This is my earnest plea: More love, O Christ, to Thee;
More love to Thee, more love to Thee!

Once earthly joy I craved, sought peace and rest;
Now Thee alone I seek, give what is best;
This all my prayer shall be: More love, O Christ, to Thee;
More love to Thee, more love to Thee!

Then shall my latest breath whisper Thy praise;
This be the parting cry my heart shall raise;
This still its prayer shall be: More love, O Christ, to Thee;
More love to Thee, more love to Thee!
