Bloom Where He Places You

As you are planted in Life’s Garden,
By the Gardener Divine,
Be content weth your location,
Do your very best to shine.

Gladly blossom for your Master;
Fill your place and fill it well;
Brighten weary souls around you
With your life His love to fill.

Envy not the lot of others,
Though they be so much adored.
Just remember Who’s your Master
And keep blooming for your Lord.

Though your lot be in obscurity,
And some others out in view,
Do not let the fact discourage—
Blossom on with rosy hue.

Just remember that the Gardener
Knows just why He placed you thus;
These are favorable conditions
For your proper growth and trust.

This is why your color’s needed,
So be faithful, O be true!
And keep shining for your Master—
Blooming where He places you.

The Precious Garden

Claire Varney

I have a living garden,
That garden is my heart,
In which I ought to plant all manner of good,
Things which God doth impart.

Oh, I know you have a garden, too
Most everybody has one,
Just, please, I plead you, treat it like
It’s all you have to live on.

I know some weeds may grow,
But never let them stay,
Just root them out and never let
Them mar your garden, pray.

Don’t Trouble Trouble

Mark Pearse

Don’t you trouble trouble, till trouble troubles you;
Don’t you look for trouble—let trouble look for you.
Who feareth hath forsaken the Heavenly Father’s side;
What He hath undertaken He surely will provide.

The very birds reprove thee with their happy song;
The very flowers teach thee that fretting is wrong.
“Cheer up,” the sparrow chirpeth, “Thy Father feedeth me;
Think how much He careth, oh, lonely child, for thee.”

“Fear not,” the flowers whisper, “since thus He hath arrayed
The buttercup and daisy, how canst thou be afraid?”
Then don’t you trouble trouble, till trouble troubles you;
You’ll only double trouble, and trouble others too.
