When Lucy Ran Away

On Thanksgiving morning we were excited to go to Granny’s house. But then my dog, Lucy, vanished! We got in the car and went around the neighborhood, calling and searching. But in vain. I was miserable. I thought that she might have been killed. I thought that we might have to get a new dog. Then we prayed and asked God to keep Lucy safe. Three days later my grandpa came over to help us move our piano. He told us that on his way to our house he had stopped at the post office. At the post office he had seen a sign that someone had put up, that they had found a lost dog. Mama called the number on the paper. Yes, it was Lucy! Papa went to pick her up. God is a wonderful God and He DOES hear prayer.
