Many times had the Apostasy family tried to destroy that most annoying trumpet, but... they had never been able to do aught but, for a season, to in some way deceive the trumpeters, for a short time, into the idea that it was no longer necessary.

God can do no more than He has done. At the cross He judged the devil and overthrew him and his hosts.... Not only are we saved from sin on account of that death, but we are also saved from Satan.

Acknowledgment of truth is the first and vital step to getting help. This truth runs contrary to the philosophy of influence... the skill of easing people into a better condition. The way of the cross is the way of acknowledgment—it is a stark confrontation.

Those who have been praying for years and have the closest intimacy with God have a desire to know still more about prayer. How little we yet know of God! It is true that He has taught us many glorious things of Himself... but there is much more to learn.
