Very few Christians reach such an intimacy with our dear Lord as to receive and appreciate His individual feelings. Jesus is an infinite lover, and nothing will satisfy Him but a pure, sacred, passionate, and personal love.

"Very precious" and "very costly" still falls short of the measure of this treasure. Oh, if we could but see how much was contained in the simple words Christ spoke to His disciples, to us: "This is my body, which is broken for you"; "my blood... which is poured out for you."
